  • Where Hollywood Ave & Park Blvd — come in at the Elsinore Walk end
  • Setup from 11:00 am
  • Breakdown until 5:30 pm

About the times: shifts end when the next crew takes over on the hour. If you need to leave earlier or can stay longer, tell Terry — nothing here is fixed.

When you arrive

Let's meet at the start table — ACheck-in on the map, at the Elsinore Walk end of the park. The 11 am crew will have a quick huddle there before we begin. If your shift starts at 1, 2 or 3, please turn up five minutes early so we can walk you over to your station.

The full schedule, if you'd rather see everyone at once. Stations rotate, so nobody scoops all afternoon.

Canopies up, tables and chairs out, coolers and ice carried in, water station and signs placed. All lifting, no scooping.

Where everything goes

You come in at the Elsinore Walk end, where check-in is. The kids' zone sits just behind the guest tables, and the ice cream line is down at the far end, toward Hollywood Ave.

W The only water station, by the tree nearest Park Blvd. Refill cups here and keep an eye on the level.

Before you come

  • Volunteers need to be 16 or older.
  • Comfortable shoes, and something you don't mind getting sticky.
  • A hat and sunscreen — there's shade, but not everywhere.
  • Can't make your shift? Text Terry as early as you can.
