Updates OPD Rep J Ladd:
Previously in charge of the community resource officers
Focus is on patrol and criminal investigations
In Glenview: trends are still cars being stolen and car break-ins
Typically patrols in the area; swing shifts (e.g. 2pm-2am)
Invite the Captain to future community events
Police overtime is tracked by paper
911 dispatchers are still understaffed in Oakland
Unsure if CROs will be budgeted for the future
Catalytic converter crime and stole cares are still occurring but not as much as before
Approved continuing the existing cameras around the city
Officers need to be trained and need to provide certain ticket or crime to the system before information is given from what the cameras receive
Camera placement is dependent on crime stats, recommendations, and main thoroughfares
Night officers hold meetings: opportunity to meet and engage with officers
Importance of reporting crime that occurs to officer, online, or 911 510-777-3333 (non emergency number)
Cannot report a stolen car online, instead call 911 or non emergency
Calls will go to Oakland dispatch center
Provide as much info as possible as safely as you can, be discreet
What action is allowed with the unhoused population?
Discouraged to cite them, but are allowed to talk to them, move them if they are on a stoop (private property), they will call services (e.g. Macro) and homeless encampment team
If mental health issues, best to call 911 or officers and they will engage appropriate resources to help the individual
Request through dispatch for county to come if certain issues occur
Safety session with the Altenheim can be organized with Officer Ladd
Doorbell cameras: citizens can voluntarily agree to share their camera on a website

Treasurer report: update on non profit status
Impact on our Tax exemption status and ability to support other nonprofits
Need to submit a well written application again
Neighbor focusing on replacing trees in the main area and looking for sponsors
Targeting next meeting to have completed tax exemption status
Current bank account sitting approx $5k after tshirts and other recent events
